Man Charged With Rape Following Police Incident in Stechford

A 42-year-old man has been charged with rape, wounding and strangulation after police were called to a residential address in Stechford, Birmingham.
West Midlands Police confirmed officers attended the property on December 16 following reports that a woman had been raped and assaulted.
Following an investigation, Jordan Christopher, 42, was formally charged with rape, wounding and strangulation. A 53-year-old woman, Lisa Yates, has also been charged in connection with the incident, accused of wounding.
Both defendants were scheduled to appear before Birmingham Magistrates’ Court.
Police said the victim is being supported by specially trained officers, adding that safeguarding measures were put in place immediately after the report was made.
In a statement, the force said officers acted swiftly after receiving the call and that a full investigation remains ongoing.
