Liam Wall has escaped

A public warning has been issued following the escape of Liam Wall, a former gang member, from HMP Prescoed on Sunday, December 14. Wall, 36, was convicted in 2017 at Cardiff Crown Court for drug-related offences. He is described as being approximately 5’8″ tall, with a bald head, brown eyes, and a brown beard.

Gwent Police have launched a dedicated operation to locate Wall, urging the public not to approach him. Instead, anyone with information is asked to contact the police on 101, quoting the reference number 2500396403, or to reach out via direct message on Facebook or X.

Wall was a key figure in a drug trafficking gang, which was exposed after the group posed for photos flaunting wads of cash and large quantities of drugs. At the time of his arrest, Wall was linked to the operation of one of Cardiff’s busiest drug lines. In November 2016, he and two others were caught while driving a blue BMW on the M4 near Coldra, after a trip to Liverpool to purchase more drugs. During the investigation, police seized approximately £22,000 worth of drugs, including 2kg of amphetamine.

Authorities have raised concerns about potential risk, as Wall is no longer in custody, and are working closely with the prison to locate him as soon as possible.
