Three men have been jailed after a violent armed robbery in Pontefract that left a father and son traumatised.
Lee Wes (35), James Greenway (34), and Ricky Stewart (28) forced their way into a flat on South Baileygate armed with a knife, scissors, and a kettle.
The attackers assaulted Marcus Gocher and his father John, stealing a PlayStation and attempting to take a television.
At Leeds Crown Court, all three pleaded guilty and were described as long-term drug users who played equal roles in the attack.
Marcus suffered repeated punches to the face and now lives with depression, anxiety, and constant fear of the attackers returning.
Wes, who has 61 previous convictions, also received sentencing for a separate burglary committed the night before.
Sentences delivered: Wes – 10 years; Greenway – 6 years 9 months; Stewart – 6 years.
Judge Clark condemned the robbery as a “brutal and senseless crime”, stressing the lasting psychological impact on the victims.
